Undergraduate Placements

Expect the unexpected.

An HR work placement at Chessington World of Adventures Resort is hardly your typical office job. After all, you’ll be based in an environment that celebrates the wilder side of life. From July to July each year, we offer two talented undergraduates the chance to work at the heart of a brand that’s all about freedom, discovery and untamed fun.

Join us as a HR Recruitment Administrator and you’ll get your teeth into the recruitment of over 800 seasonal staff. You’ll screen applications and run Assessment Centres – making sure we hire people who share our sense of adventure and passion for great service.

And as a HR Training Administrator, you’ll make sure they’re ready to hit the Resort. But, working with our training team, you won’t stop at organising inductions. You’ll write scripts for vocational courses and keep all our training events on track. It’s about developing and motivating others and, in this key support role, we can guarantee you’ll find plenty to challenge and motivate you too.

For both positions, you’ll be a real part of the team. So we’ll expect you to speak up, ask questions and make suggestions. Naturally, we’ll also want you to work hard and pitch in where you’re needed. An excellent academic record is a must as well. And while the placements are more relevant for HR students, your degree subject isn’t our main focus. What we’re really interested in is your flexibility and willingness to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.

You won’t just be rewarded with a great learning opportunity though. Because you’ll be working for us on a 12-month contract you can expect 28 days’ holiday, a salary of c.£14,700 and free entry to all our attractions for you and your friends. You’ll also enjoy great discounts, the chance to work in other departments for a day and all the support you need.

But don’t take our word for it. Meet some of our undergraduates for yourself.
