Our Host opportunities generally consists of the following positions / roles:

Food & Beverage Host

If you want to join a lively team in one of the park's most fast-paced environments, then working with the Food and Beverage team could be your perfect choice. You'll be working in a variety of catering outlets, helping to prepare and serve meals, look after our guests and maintain high standards of cleanliness.

It's a role where no two days are the same - whether our guests are grabbing a quick snack on the go or taking a relaxing break, you can always do a lot to make a difference to their day. All our employees go through extensive training including basic food hygiene so you don't need any experience - just bags of enthusiasm and initiative!

Warehouse Host

If you like a busy, physically demanding role behind the scenes, our Warehouse may be the place for you. Various positions are available within the Team, including Hosts, Drivers and Forklift Drivers. Duties include distribution of stock to all Commercial Operations Units, receiving goods into the warehouse, picking stock orders and assisting in stock counts. You will be trained in all Health & Safety and operational procedures to provide an efficient and friendly service to our Park.

Drivers will need a full driving licence, and forklift drivers need to hold a current Counterbalance forklift licence. Due to the nature of the role you will be required to work early shifts, which can start at 6am. We also have administrative opportunities within the Commercial Business Support Office.

Cash Office Host

If you are an organised and numerate person, why not work in the Cash Office? This is a busy and varied behind-the-scenes role with some demanding responsibilities; one that's crucial to the efficient running of the park. You will be involved in reconciling the day's takings, completing paperwork, operating a counter service, making up floats, plus many other tasks.

It's not a role for everyone, as there's little day-to-day contact with our guests – but you are part of a fun and supportive team in a great working environment. Previous cash handling experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be given.

Medical Services Host

For this position you will need to be fully ‘First Aid at Work' qualified, as you'll be relied on to provide an efficient First Aid service to both employees and guests as and when required. Duties range from dealing with minor incidents in the Medical Centre to responding to any emergency calls across the park.

It's a demanding role in which previous experience is essential, as are patience and understanding, good communication skills and a highly professional approach at all times.

Opportunities exist to progress through ‘in-house' training, designed to expand your First Aid skills and knowledge. A full driving licence is ideal but not essential.

Park Cleaning Host

As a member of the Park Cleaning Team, you will have day-to-day responsibility for ensuring a high standard of presentation throughout the Park. Duties include general cleaning, sweeping, changing and washing bins.

Naturally we have high standards of cleanliness, and we'll be looking to you to maintain them and set an example. You should also be happy to assist and engage with our guests, to help ensure that they get the very most out of their day.

We're also seeking Park Cleaning Driver(s) to operate one of the Park's industrial cleaning vehicles. This position requires applicants with a full driving licence. In this role you will be required to work early shifts (which can start at 7am) to ensure the park is fully ready prior to opening.

Car Parking Host

You will be responsible for ensuring guests have an easy entry and exit from the Parks; welcoming coaches and cars politely and efficiently and ensuring safe practices are followed at all times.

Cleaning duties are involved as maintaining a high standard of presentation in the Car Parks and entrance areas is crucial – first and last impressions really do count! You may also occasionally be asked to work in the rides and attractions department.

Cast Facilities Host (Uniform Issue)

The Cast Facilities team plays an active role in providing a high level of support and guidance to ensure that, as a Team, we present a clean, tidy, easily recognisable and professional image to our guests.

Part of your role involves issuing and maintaining cast uniforms, as well as being responsible for enforcing the appearance standards of the Company. The Cast Facilities building is used daily by a large number of cast members, so keeping it clean and presentable is also part of the Team's responsibility. Other duties include stocktaking, completion of forms and issuing cast ID passes.

Guest Services and Park Security Hosts

Guest and park services play an important part in ensuring everyone enjoys a safe, peaceful and stress free day in the park. This department has an exciting, diverse and extremely challenging role, balancing guest contact and administration duties.

Confident individuals are required for these responsible roles, developing knowledge of the different areas of the park and building key relationships with other departments. Duties include dealing with lost property, giving advice to our disabled guests on our policy and suitability of the attractions and helping guests get the best out of their day. You will also assist creating a safe environment for both guests and cast members, through managing and controlling park incidents and protecting company assets.

Full training is provided to ensure you are confident to deal with every eventually and there is ongoing support from the team to achieve the best level of service.

Admissions & Advanced Sales Hosts

Working within the Admissions & Advanced Sales team, you will be responsible for creating that all-important first impression. Welcoming a million guests each year is definitely a challenge, so we are looking for confident and outgoing hosts who have a passion for customer service.

As part of the Team, you will be trained in all aspects of the Admissions operations, including ticket sales, cash handling and efficient customer service. You will also help with promoting the benefits of Annual Passes and with Individual & Group Bookings. Most working days are of 6 hours (9 am to 3 pm), ideal for anyone with outside commitments. However, longer hours are available if required.

Retail Host

You will be part of a successful, energetic team, working within one of our themed shops and selling a wide range of fantastic products - including fashion wear, Chessington collectables, toys, sweets and drinks. Duties include visual merchandising of stock, operating tills, interacting with our guests and maintaining high standards of cleanliness in a busy, friendly atmosphere.

Rides & Attractions Host

Do you have the confidence and sense of responsibility to monitor queues, check height restrictions and ensure guests' safety when getting on and off rides, whilst all the time maintaining a fun and friendly atmosphere? If you are a star performer you could be a Ride Operator, trained to operate the rides in strict accordance to Health & Safety and operational procedures. Some cleaning duties are also involved.

Entertainments Host

Confident, lively, outgoing, extrovert – as a member of the Entertainments team, you can't be anything less. You can expect to find yourself dressing up in some eye-catching outfits, looking after a vast range of costume characters and perhaps operating one of our attractions, such as Hocus Pocus Hall.

This is an extremely exciting department to be in as much of our focus is on delighting the guests with themed events, the most recent examples being Star Wars in 2006 and Scooby-Doo in 2005.
