We have a huge amount of interest in our Zoo positions so competition is fierce for the few host positions we have. To be successful, you should have previous experience in a zoo environment, as you will be looking after some fairly exotic animals day-to-day (sorry, but having a lot of pets at home isn't really sufficient).
However, if you really want to find a way into working with animals, you can apply for a work experience placement or voluntary work. Simply send in your CV and a covering letter, explaining what you are studying and why you would like the experience, to:
